The National Construction Industry Council was established by the National Construction Industry (NCI) Act of 1996 (Cap. 53:05 of the Laws of Malawi) to regulate, develop and promote the construction industry in Malawi. Section 11 of the NCI Act outlines functions which the Council undertakes to fulfil its mandate.
To ensure development, promotion and full participation of Malawian firms in the Construction Industry, National Construction Industry Council in collaboration with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Authority (PPDA), Roads Authority (RA) and the Ministry of Transport and Public Works will conduct sponsored workshops Contractors, Consultants and Construction Material Manufacturers on Preparation/Submission of Winning Bids/Proposals in the construction industry.
The main objective of these training workshops is to sensitize Malawian firms on procurement processes, and preparation & submission of successful bids/proposals as well as appreciation of regulations in the construction industry.

The Council is therefore inviting all registered Malawian firms (contractors and consultants) to attend these training workshops at one of the venues as detailed. Please note that Lunch and refreshments shall be provided during the trainings however participants shall cater for their own transport and accommodation should there be need.
