The National Construction Industry Council (NCIC), on Thursday the 16th of March 2023 donated various food stuffs to the victims of Cyclone Freddy at Naotcha Camp in Blantyre, worth K5 Million (Five Million Malawi Kwacha). The cyclone has so far claimed more than 300 lives leaving behind a trail of destitution for families and prompting various state and none-state actors to intervene in different ways.

NCIC appreciates the misery that the cyclone has subjected its stakeholders to, hence the donation. The Council has Stakeholder Focus as one of its core values as it fully realizes that it exists because of them. The Council also calls upon all well wishers to join hands in the on-going efforts to mitigate the impact of the devastation caused by the cyclone.
